Description

This Duck Print is a high quality giclée reproduction of my original acrylic painting using archival materials. This is a picture we have all seen, a mother duck watching over her new ducklings. She seems unconcerned but we know she is ever watchful of as her new family paddles around her. The dominate colors of the blues in the water combined with the soft swirls and ripples generated by the movement of the ducks create a peaceful effect.

Interesting Facts
Ducks have no blood vessels or nerves in their feet and they have waterproof feathers which help explain how they can paddle around in ice water. Duck have good vision and see in color.

The Process

• First a high resolution scan is made of the artwork.
• Photoshop is used to enhance the edges of the artwork.
• I use an Epson archival printer with pigmented inks to make a canvas print.
• This print is coated with 2 applications of varnished to insure the long life of the print.
• The canvas is stretched over 5/8 inch stretcher bars using a gallery wrap.
• Lastly a wire is installed insuring your canvas print arrives ready to hang.
