This Hummingbird Print is a high quality giclée reproduction of my original acrylic painting using archival materials. This blue Hummingbird is flying toward a purple flower to see if he likes the nectar in the flower. I feel so privileged the times I have been able to watch a hummingbird hover around a flower, there is something very magical about these tiny birds.

1. Native Americans believe the hummingbird is a messenger sent from heaven sent to heal and help people. This enchanting bird is associated with wisdom, healing, and endurance.
2. Hummingbirds are likely to return to the place where they hatched.
3. They migrate alone.
4. Hummingbirds have better vision than us and see warmer shades better than cooler shades of color.
5. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards.

The Process

• First a high resolution scan is made of the artwork.
• Photoshop is used to enhance the edges of the artwork.
• I use an Epson archival printer with pigmented inks to make a canvas print.
• This print is coated with 2 applications of varnished to insure the long life of the print.
• The canvas is stretched over 5/8 inch stretcher bars using a gallery wrap.
• Lastly a wire is installed insuring your canvas print arrives ready to hang.
