This Lion Portrait Print is a high quality reproduction of my original color pencil drawing using high quality archival materials. This Lion Portrait Print is a perfect example of the friendly lion. Although lions are know to be fierce predatory animals this lion is caught with a contemplative expression on his face. His look is calm and like he’s reaching out to connect with you.

Interesting fact
Ironically lions are know as “king of the jungle” even though do not live in jungles. They live in the grasslands and plains of Africa.

The Process

• First a high resolution scan is made of the artwork.
• Photoshop is used to enhance the edges of the artwork.
• I use an Epson archival printer with pigmented inks to make a canvas print.
• This print is coated with 2 applications of varnished to insure the long life of the print.
• The canvas is stretched over 5/8 inch stretcher bars using a gallery wrap.
• Lastly a wire is installed insuring your canvas print arrives ready to hang.
