This Sahasrara Chakra Print is a high quality giclée reproduction of my original acrylic painting using archival materials. Sahasrara Chakra is located at the Crown of the head. This is where the ego dissolves and unites with the infinite consciousness. This is the highest state of enlightenment where it is known that all things are connected as part of one. This image has vibrant colors and strong geometric shapes with an organic quality. The circular pattern of petals is repeated growing smaller as they shrink inward. The color is all violet, lavender, and white.

What are Chakras
The word Chakra comes from the Sanskrit language and means spinning wheel. There are 7 major Chakras in our body running from the base of our spine to the crown of the head. They each represent different levels of thoughts, emotions, desires, and consciousness. Our Prana, or life force travels through these energy centers. The more freely our Prana can move the more balanced and enlightened we become. If a Chakra becomes block a physical or mental imbalance can occur. We perceive our reality through the Chakra in which our awareness is concentrated.

The Process

• First a high resolution scan is made of the artwork.
• Photoshop is used to enhance the edges of the artwork.
• I use an Epson archival printer with pigmented inks to make a canvas print.
• This print is coated with 2 applications of varnished to insure the long life of the print.
• The canvas is stretched over 5/8 inch stretcher bars using a gallery wrap.
• Lastly a wire is installed insuring your canvas print arrives ready to hang.
